Not many centre-forwards get past FRANK BRENNAN, Newcastle centre-half, on the field. He usually ties them up just as securely as he is tying up the laces of his boots in a corner of the Newcastle dressing-room at St James's Park

There's a lot of good football in Chilian TED ROBLEDO, brother of George, but trainer NORMAN SMITH is always hoping for a little more. Here, after a training session, is Norman testing half-back Ted to see if he can reach new heights.

Here they are - the ROBLEDOS at home. Mother holds one of George's many cups. George (left) holds last year's Cup Final medal, while TED (right) tackles the kicking foot of a statuette.

Rowing together in the gymnasium as perfectly as they do on the field are left-back ALF McMICHAEL and right-back BOBBY COWELL.
